Naturally fragmented by river. This terrace is in a relatively undisturbed part of the Monongahela National Forest, >1 mile from trails or roads. Forest on shore side overhangs partly and is Betula alleghaniensis - Tsuga canadensis / Rhododendron maximum.;Possible dis-climax community of riverscour terrace. No evidence of human disturbance. Some deer beds where grass is pressed down.
Representativeness
Representative of numerous similar herbaceous terraces along the Glady Fork. These look similar to riverscour terraces along the West Fork of the Greenbrier. This particular occurrence is probably not the largest, but rather typical in size for the Glady
